【摘要】:1.1Thisguidecoversinformationneededtoselectoneormoremethodsforassessingthesensitivityofgroundwateroraquifersandthevulnerabilityofgroundwateroraquiferstowater-qualitydegradationbyspecificcontaminants.1.2Thisguidemaynotbeall-inclusive;itoffersaseriesofoptionsanddoesnotspecifyacourseofaction.Itshouldnotbeusedasthesolecriterionorbasisofcomparison,anddoesnotreplaceprofessionaljudgment.1.3Thisguideistobeusedforevaluatingsensitivityandvulnerabilitymethodsforpurposesofland-usemanagement,water-usemanagement,ground-waterprotection,governmentregulation,andeducation.Thisguideincorporatesdescriptionsofgeneralclassesofmethodsandselectedexampleswithintheseclassesbutdoesnotadvocateanyparticularmethod.1.4Limitations8212;Theutilityandreliabilityofthemethodsdescribedinthisguidedependontheavailability,nature,andqualityofthedatausedfortheassessment;theskill,knowledge,andjudgmentoftheindividualsselectingthemethod;thesizeofthesiteorregionunderinvestigation;andtheintendedscaleofresultingmapproducts.Becausethesemethodsarebeingcontinuallydevelopedandmodified,theresultsshouldbeusedwithcaution.Thesetechniques,whetherornottheyprovideaspecificnumericvalue,providearelativerankingandassessmentofsensitivityorvulnerability.However,arelativelylowsensitivityorvulnerabilityforanareadoesnotprecludethepossibilityofcontamination,nordoesahighsensitivityorvulnerabilitynecessarilymeanthatgroundwateroranaquiferiscontaminated.1.5ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.1.6Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.1.7Thisguideoffersanorganizedcollectionofinformationoraseriesofoptionsanddoesnotrecommendaspecificcourseofaction.Thisdocumentcannotreplaceeducationorexperienceandshouldbeusedinconjunctionwithprofessionaljudgment.Notallaspectsofthisguidemaybeapplicableinallcircumstances.ThisASTMstandardisnotintendedtorepresentorreplacethestandardofcarebywhichtheadequacyofagivenprofessionalservicemustbejudged,norshouldthisdocumentbeappliedwithoutconsiderationofaproject'smanyuniqueaspects.Theword"Standard"inthetitleofthisdocumentmeansonlythatthedocumenthasbeenapprovedthroughtheASTMconsensusprocess.
