【摘要】:TestMethodD1770forthedeterminationofneps,vegetablematter,andcoloredfibermaybeusedfortheacceptancetestingofcommercialshipmentsofwooltopbutcautionisadvisedbecausethebetween-laboratoryprecisionisknowntobepoor.Comparativetestsasdirectedin5.1.1maybeadvisable.5.1.1IncaseofadisputearisingfromdifferencesinreportedtestresultswhenusingTestMethodD1770foracceptancetestingofcommercialshipments,thepurchaserandthesuppliershouldconductcomparativeteststodetermineifthereisastatisticalbiasbetweentheirlaboratories.Competentstatisticalassistanceisrecommendedfortheinvestigationofbias.Asaminimum,thetwopartiesshouldtakeagroupoftestspecimensthatareashomogeneousaspossibleandthatarefromalotofmaterialofthetypeinquestion.Thetestspecimensshouldthenberandomlyassignedinequalnumberstoeachlaboratoryfortesting.TheaverageresultsfromthetwolaboratoriesshouldbecomparedusingStudentrsquo;t-testforunpaireddataandanacceptableprobabilitylevelchosenbythetwopartiesbeforethetestingisbegun.Ifabiasisfound,eitheritscausemustbefoundandcorrectedorthepurchaserandthesuppliermustagreetointerpretfuturetestresultsinthelightoftheknownbias.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationofthenumberofnepsandpiecesofvegetablematterbysizeclasses,andthenumberofcoloredfibers,in15gsamplesofwooltop.1.2Thistestmethodisapplicabletowooltopinanyform.Note1-Forthedeterminationofnumberofnepsperspecifiedmassofcottonsamples,refertoTestMethodD1446.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
